Another year is coming to a close, and we are sad to say we still do not have the land secured for our
MX track at Coulter Creek, located near the Bremerton National airport. Negotiations are still
ongoing and we are closer, so do not give up hope. Status as of December 2007: KC Parks are on
board for a Motor Sport park located at Coulter creek. Phase one will be the motocross track, owned
& operated by MX Promotions (MXP). MXP will lease the land from KC Parks and act as land
stewards , maintaining the grounds while developing the area for future growth, including an ORV
park with camp grounds for various Motor sports activities. The original site for the MX track has
been scrapped due to future housing development which is do to start within a couple of years.
Therefore, KC Parks have shifted our project to the opposite end of the 1200 acre park. This new
area is zone "industrial" so a threat of any future rural development is unlikely. This means our MX
park should be there for many years of enjoyment. The down side of this new site is that it is heavily
wooded and does not have a current easement onto the site. Therefore, a lot more land development
will be necessary. MXP continues to receive inquiries from those who would like to volunteer once we
start breaking ground. MXP will keep all those on our mailing updated to our progress and send out a
call for help - once we reach that point.
